Mother's Day...

What a wonderful First Mother's Day I had. The day started with coffee and gifts in bed with my boys. I got a card from Toby and 6 roses, a beautiful necklace, and a card from my sweet little son. I was told that he went shopping with daddy and picked the necklace out himself...hehe.

After church we went over to grandma and grandpa Reid's. Grandpa cooked us a delicious Mothers Day breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, hashbrowns, and strawberries. All topped off with an OJ and vodka. The boys had bloody mary's.

We took some nice pics on the back deck before breakfast...

The Timmons Family

After breakfast we all went for a family bike ride. Jackson of course rode in the bike trailer. Halfway through our ride we stopped for lunch at Mac's for wings and a barbeque sandwich.

The afternoon bike ride was followed by a delicious dinner of Mahi Mahi over linguine covered in lemon caper sauce with grilled asparagus on the side. All prepared by chef Toby. We all enjoyed it very much.

I could not have asked for a better First Mother's Day spent with my family. I am very lucky to have a loving, supportive, and extremely helpful mom who would do anything for Toby, Jackson, or I. We are so thankful for everything she does for us.

A visit from Uncle Ron and Aunt Mary...

This past week Jackson got to see his Uncle Ron again and meet his Aunt Mary for the first time! Jackson and Uncle Ron will always have a special relationship because Ron was here when Jackson was born. He came to the hospital that night with mom and dad, therefore being one of the first people to see Jackson in person. Aunt Mary has heard all about Jack and seen many pics but finally got to hold him! They adored each other. Jacksons loves visitors and thrives off all of the attention that it brings! We had a wonderful time during their visit. We had lots of yummy meals outside, drank lots of Ron's delicious, homemade wine, and just "hung out" while Jackson did the entertaining. We cant wait to hang out again. Maybe next time we will go visit them in sunny California! Here are some pics from their visit.....

Happy 8 months my sweet, baby boy!

I can hardly believe that my baby boy is 8 months old today! He is changing so much every single day. He isnt crawling quite yet but I can tell he is ready to and wouldn't be suprised if it happened any day now. He is starting to make real sounds, like a "ta, ta, ta" sound. He has the sweetest little voice. I just love watching him grow. Its sad at the same time though because it is all happening way too fast! He is much better about napping nowadays. I can pretty much get him to take about a 30-40 minute nap in the morning, and about an hour nap, or sometimes even 2, in the afternoon. I just lay him in his crib, turn on his aquarium, and walk away. He will cry for about a minute but then falls right to sleep.

Hanging out in the yard with daddy

Out to lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Jackson loved holding himself up on the back of the bench and watching everything going on around him.

See what I mean, any day now...
